Driving the shift from manual to automatic dealership discovery.
AutoMotion partnered with Livefront to bring AI-powered, conversational service discovery and booking to drivers across its nationwide network.
AutoMotion connects drivers to a nationwide network of dealerships and service providers. But as consumer expectations shift toward conversational, AI-first experiences, traditional search and booking flows are quickly becoming outdated. Livefront partnered with AutoMotion to explore what comes next: a natural language interface powered by large language models (LLMs) that helps drivers find, evaluate, and book service, directly inside ChatGPT and Claude. The result is an early look at the future of automotive service: intelligent, conversational, and deeply integrated with AI platforms.
Helping drivers navigate car care with AI.
AutoMotion operates at national scale, supporting tens of thousands of dealerships and service providers across brands and service types—from oil changes to glass repair. But accessing that network has traditionally required navigating fragmented websites, search results, and booking flows. At the same time, a new paradigm is emerging. Consumers are turning to AI assistants over search engines to find services, compare options, and make appointments. AutoMotion saw an opportunity to bring its network into those conversations.
Getting into first gear.
Livefront designed and built a custom integration between AutoMotion's data platform and leading LLM ecosystems, beginning with ChatGPT and Claude. At its core is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server: a flexible API layer that gives AI models secure, real-time access to AutoMotion's network.
That architecture turns AutoMotion's data into a conversational search experience. Drivers can search the full network in natural language and receive context-aware responses based on their location, vehicle, and service needs, with live information retrieved directly from AutoMotion's APIs.
Putting AutoMotion in the fast lane with ChatGPT.
Inside ChatGPT, the experience goes beyond text. When users ask a question, the system can identify relevant dealerships and service providers, surface real-time options across brands, render an interactive map with nearby locations, and provide direct links to booking flows.
This combination of conversational intelligence and visual context transforms a traditionally fragmented process into a seamless, intuitive experience. And because ChatGPT supports embedded UI components, AutoMotion can deliver rich, app-like interactions directly within the conversation–something not yet possible in all competing platforms.
Expanding across the ecosystem.
While ChatGPT served as the initial launch platform, the solution has been designed from day one to scale. Livefront extended the integration to additional LLMs (including Claude and Microsoft Copilot) leveraging the same MCP foundation. Each platform supports slightly different capabilities: ChatGPT is known for its rich UI experiences, including maps and embedded apps, whereas Claude and Copilot offer text-based responses with the same underlying intelligence. By embracing an adaptable architecture, AutoMotion can maintain a consistent experience across platforms while taking advantage of each provider's strengths.
Pushing the boundaries of booking.
Beyond discovery, Livefront is actively exploring how AI can streamline the final (and most complex) step: booking. Today, AI agents can attempt to complete service appointments by navigating dealership websites. But reliability varies depending on the site and flow. To address this, Livefront is developing AutoMotion-specific agents that understand dealership systems and booking paths–enabling more consistent, automated appointment scheduling. This represents a shift from generic AI automation to domain-specific intelligence, unlocking more dependable outcomes for users.
An open road for discovery.
This work places AutoMotion at the leading edge of a rapidly evolving landscape. As AI platforms continue to grow, users increasingly expect answers rather than links, discovery is becoming conversational, and platform ecosystems are beginning to replace traditional search.
AutoMotion's integration positions the company for what's next—including the rise of "AI-native SEO," where services are surfaced directly through intelligent assistants rather than search rankings.
The future of automotive service won't be defined by websites or apps alone. It will be shaped by conversations. By investing early in AI integration, AutoMotion is helping define that future: one where drivers simply ask, and the right answer, location, and booking experience appear instantly.
