We helped iFIT make the transition to TV.

As a leader in Health & Fitness, iFIT delivers immersive workout experiences through connected fitness equipment. Owning brands like NordicTrack, Proform, and Freemotion, iFIT has been laser-focused on owning the physical fitness equipment space. Transforming with the market, iFIT partnered with Livefront to expand its member experience by bringing its digital fitness programs to the Smart TV. Through Apple TV, Android, Amazon Fire, and Roku, we helped iFIT introduce applications that engaged its user base while attracting new users previously priced out by high equipment costs.

TV access for everyone.

In a maturing market, past performance does not guarantee future success. Keenly aware of this, iFIT saw a need to engage with customers beyond their platform-enabled equipment. Whether future prospects are cycling on a competitor's bike or simply prefer to limit their home gym equipment to a yoga mat, venturing further into the subscription economy would allow for iFIT to expand their addressable market, diversifying away from one-time equipment sales.

Partnering with Livefront, iFIT was able to introduce a richer recurring engagement model by expanding its content subscription business. Through, we helped iFIT introduce applications that made content more engaging for its existing member base while attracting new users previously priced out by high equipment costs.

Undoubtedly one of the greatest high-tech contributions to health and education this decade.

A commitment to content strategy.

Whether it is through personal training in the stunning Maldives or a live studio workout with your favorite sports star, iFIT's highly produced content clearly sets it apart from the competition. Through a commitment to its content, iFIT saw the Smart TV as a crucial channel to engage users by prioritizing the viewing experience. Providing wide-angled views of some of the world's most breathtaking destinations, the TV allowed iFIT to put its content at the forefront of its digital strategy. Engaging views and the absence of bulky fitness equipment has allowed iFIT to grow a base of deeply dedicated fans by allowing their users to decouple from the machine and experience content in a much more immersive fashion.

Simple and reliable payments.

There is nothing more painful than acquiring a new user just to lose them within a clunky payment flow. Shedding iFIT’s previously required equipment costs, the TV became a new on-ramp for new users looking to engage with the brand for the very first time. Acknowledging the importance of a first impression, we designed and built payment systems native to each TV platform with a focus on a seamless subscription experience. Working in harmony with legacy payment solutions, we delivered a delightful onboarding experience that elegantly handled subscription crossgrades, downgrades, upgrades, and cross-platform entitlements.

TV expertise.

The race to cord-cutting sparked a gold rush for streaming but left many scrambling to learn all that Smart TVs have to offer. Livefront helped bridge the knowledge gap for iFIT, building an informed digital strategy that enabled a meteoric rise to the #1 spot of the Health & Fitness category on the Amazon Fire platform.

UI design meets industrial design.

With no two being the same, interaction and interface design on the TV starts with the remote. Livefront was able to help iFIT discover the importance of clearly represented focus states, handle navigation uniquely per platform, support data entry best practices, and lean into native TV functionality. Accounting for the unique interaction requirements of each TV platform, we delivered an adaptable design system that supports the needs of the iFIT content teams, builds upon user research, and places an emphasis on TV-centric accessibility concerns.

As a team with a history of delivering, iFIT chose Livefront to launch its TV applications under a tight holiday deadline.
