We helped Lifespark drive better health outcomes for older adults by changing the conversation around aging.

Lifespark is empowering senior independence, health, wellness, and quality of life through a person-centric, end-to-end approach to care that focuses on an older adult's needs holistically —not just the physical health, but the emotional, intellectual, and social needs as well. To succeed in their mission Lifespark found value in involving all circles of care—families, caregivers, medical teams, and other service providers. Livefront joined the mission as Lifespark's digital product partner to lead consumer-facing experience strategy and design, creating services and products to help the circles of care coordinate their support of a shared loved one.

Designed to scale with strong foundations.

We set up the Lifespark team for success by defining and documenting a robust design system. Elements are clear, consistent, scalable and accessible. Using these foundations the system can be expanded to meet the needs of new features as well as future apps that Lifespark may create.

Feeling the warmth.

We brought a human touch to the Lifespark experience by using warm, charismatic illustrations throughout. We also paid close attention to detail to delight and inspire users every step of the way by utilizing ever-changing seasonal illustrations.

Glowing accessibility support.

Lifespark caters to an audience with diverse needs. We made sure the mobile app would be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or disability. While setting up the UI library we made sure it met the WCAG 2.1 requirements. We paid close attention to colors, contrast, touch target sizes and dynamic type. We also made sure the design system supported dark mode, landscape orientation, voice narration and scale on various mobile devices.

Building the roadmap for now and the future.

Livefront and Lifespark operated as one team to drive the invention, strategy, design, and delivery of this new digital platform. By pulling together a hearty mix of designers, engineers, and strategists from both sides, we were able to push the product forward from inception to launch in under a year by actively partnering with Lifespark throughout the design and development cycle.
