Building Efficient & Resilient Engineering Teams

About the talk

There is a lot of information about agile practices, SDLC efficiency, role definitions, etc., but there are very few holistic perspectives available on how to build engineering teams which are efficient, stable, and resilient. Building teams which can stay strong and focused during the various challenges and lifecycle phases of large projects is more important today than ever given the challenges in our industry. My perspective goes far beyond simply CICD ideas and I explore the convergence of technical best practices with knowing how to build a team culture of trust and collaboration. Proper interviewing, providing feedback, and accountability are universal leadership qualities, but these need to be applied in ways specific to tech. Building the skills as an engineering leader to create small and powerful teams is more crucial today than ever.
