To most of us, computers are mysterious and magical. Have you ever wondered how they work at the most fundamental level? In this session we're going to look at how players in Minecraft create functional computers using the same principles underlying the device you're looking at right now. You won't need any prior knowledge of electrical engineering, just some awareness of common PC parts. While there have been decades of galaxy-brain advances in CPU architecture design, none of them are necessary to dispel the mystery of how a chunk of silicon (or a virtual voxel world!) can compute.
